BLSKS celebrates “International Dance Day”

JAMMU, Apr 30: To celebrate the "International Dance Day" Bhartiya Lok Sangeet presented dance drama "Dugar Nach" at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan Janipur, Jammu. The main aim of the programme to promote rich cultural Heritage of Jammu province like Traditional folk, Folk Songs and Dances of J&K State.
The Program was inaugurated by V.K.Magotra, former Regional Director of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India. Romesh Chander, Event Director was guest of honor. The program was commenced with the Sanskrit Shalok " Yasyam Narityati gayanti yetva". Especially prepared on the theme like "Sun Sun Sheli meri Sun”, “Mere banku De Chachuya”, "Chan Chan Chan panjeb meri Chanke ", "Surma Nima Nima", "Gori Di Panjeb", "Sadde Jammuya”, "Paranda la Ladiyo".The main attraction of the program was a group Song " Chan Mada Chadiya- Chadiya Upper Tirki " sung by artists of BLSKS and students . The Skits , Slogans Songs and Dances were presented to aware the masses on the burning topic of the day. The Chief Guest lauded the efforts of the organizers in making such awareness programmes colorful and effective through the childrens of music, theatre and computer institutions as part of celebration.
