Sat leads cleanliness drive under ‘Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan’

Jammu, Sept 30: On the eve of the commencement of holy "Navratras", BJP State President & MLA Sat Sharma (C.A) alongwith State Secretary & State Incharge 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan' Er. Ghulam Ali Khatana, State Convener 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan' Bhupinder Singh, launched cleanliness drive from the premises of Kali Mata temple in Bahu Forton Friday in presence of a large number of party activities and devotees.
Sat Sharma, on this occasion, said that the first nationwide programme launched by Narendra Modi after assuming the chair of Prime Minister, was "Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan" and he himself led the people to get associated with it.
During the last two years, it has become a mass movement and today people are more conscious about the need and importance of cleanliness.
He said that BJP has been organizing cleanliness campaigns at different levels in the state through its 'Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan' teams.
Sat Sharma said that the holy navratras are starting on Saturday and during these nine days, there is heavy rush of pilgrims to Hindu temples and other religion places. As the flow of pilgrims goes high, the premises of such places need regular cleanliness. He appealed the people to not throw wastes here and there but use the dustbins etc. and also educate the others to contribute in maintaining sanctity and cleanliness of such places.

Kulwant Singh Bhatti, Bashir Khatana, Ankush Gupta, Vivek Patyal, Sharda Devi, Sunny Sangotra, Sandeep Chib, Subash Chander, Hardesh Kumar, Rani Mankotia, Kulvir Charak took part in this cleanliness drive.
