Speaker kick starts developmental works in Darab

JAMMU, Oct 22: Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta Saturday inaugurated the work for the construction of lane and drain in Darab.
The Speaker was accompanied by AEE, PWD, Manoj Gupta and JE, Balbir Singh. The estimated cost of the road from link road to cotton factory and other internal roads is Rs 6 lakhs approximately.
While speaking on the occasion, Kavinder Gupta reiterated the commitment of the present Government to develop all the three regions of the state and rural areas which will witness new era of development in the days to come.
He also stressed upon the people to avail the benefits of centrally sponsored schemes. Earlier, Speaker visited Raina Colony at Babliana where people of the area demanded extension of the road and street lights. Responding to the demands of the locals, Kavinder Gupta assured them that their genuine demands would be redressed on priority basis. Among others who were present on the occasion includes local residents, social and political activists of the area.
