Will have to work harder for ‘Mubarakan’,: Athiya Shetty

07/12/2016

Athiya Shetty says she will have to work harder to excel in comedy genre for her role in the Anees Bazmee directed film 'Mubarakan' .
Athiya, who made her debut in 2015 with Salman Khan's home production film 'Hero', signed 'Mubarakan' after a gap of two years. The film stars Anil Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor as 'chacha and bhatija' (uncle-nephew). Both Anees and Anil are good at comedy and Athiya thinks she has to be on her toes to be better in the genre.
"I feel I have to work harder, be on my toes and that is the best part as it prepares and challenges you as an actor. It s like as an actor you have someone to match upto their skills. I am extremely nervous but I am also excited because they are great artistes," Athiya told.Daughter of Suniel Shetty, the 24-year-old actress is amazed with the energy of noted actor Anil Kapoor. "I think he is somebody who is giving everybody a run for their money. He is so energetic, he is a thorough professional. He has been in the industry for a long time but looking at him it feels he is still eager and willing to learn like any newcomer, it is fantastic," she said.
"He is sincere and dedicated towards his work even today. It is amazing to be like that. I am feeling blessed to be working with him," she said. Also, for the first time she will be sharing screen space with Arjun Kapoor, who she knows since quite some time. Asked if it becomes easy to work with someone like Arjun as she knows him from before, Athiya says, "I don t know yet. I can share this experience when we start working in it."
She will start shooting for 'Mubarakan' this month. The 'Hero' actress feels patience is really important be it in personal or professional life. "By patience, I don't mean sitting there and waiting, but also what you are doing that time. I feel it's a natural process. I think I have grown tremendously in the past year. I have understood myself better, understood my strength and weakness," she said. "I wanted to be part of a film that I would love working in and have fun, and 'Mubarakan' is that. It's a fun film, it is a genre I have not been part of. It is fortunate to be working with Anees Bazmee and Anil Kapoor who are good at comedy," she added.
