JAMMU, Dec 6: The Speaker, J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta today convened a high level meeting with the legislators, district administrations and officers from the department of PDD, EM&RE and allied agencies to review the progress on various Restructured Accelerated Power Development and Reforms Programme (R-APDRP) works in progress in Jammu, Udhampur districts.
The meeting was attended by MLA Marh Sukhnandan Kumar, MLA Udhampur Pawan Gupta, MLA Jammu East Rajesh Gupta, MLA Akhnoor Rajiv Sharma, Divisional Commissioner Jammu, Dr Pawan Kotwal, Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh, Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Niraj Kumar, Vice Chairman JDA, Commissioner Jammu Municipal Corporation, MD Housing Board, Chief Engineer Project Wing (PDD) Jammu, Chief Engineer, EM&RE, Jammu besides other senior officers and officials from various allied departments. During the meeting threadbare discussions were held on various land allotment cases hindering the execution of the R-APDRP Phase-II New Substations besides construction of new receiving stations, in Jammu and Udhampur.
The Speaker directed the DCs of both districts to extend full support and cooperation to the exe cutting agencies so that the works are expedited and completed at the earliest.
He further directed the district administrations to take strict action against encroachers, illegal possessions hindering the progress on developmental projects.
The concerned agencies were directed to appoint an inter agency liaison officer to facilitate cooperation besides streamlining the works by removing bottlenecks. Specific concerns regarding allotment of land at Sunjwan, Deeli (Raika), Shakti Nagar for new substations under RAPDRP in Jammu and construction of new receiving station at Chak in Udhampur were discussed in the meeting.
The district administrations, JMC, JDA, Housing board assured the meeting of early action on the issues discussed with constructive results in one week's time.
