Sachin Pilot flays BJP Govt over law-and-order situation

27/05/2017

Jaipur, May 26: Rajasthan’s Congress chief Sachin Pilot today alleged that the law-and-order situation at both the national and state level had deteriorated under the BJP's rule and the recent Bulandshahr gangrape and murder was a stark reminder of it. Addressing a mass gathering in Rajasthan's Sirohi district, Pilot said people were fed up with BJP’s governance.
“The gangrape and murder in Bulandshahr has once again brought to fore the rising morale of anti-social elements under BJP's rule,” he said. Armed robbers struck a group of eight people travelling to Bulandshahr in a vehicle on the Yamuna Expressway in the early hours yesterday, shooting dead a man and looting cash and jewellery.
Four women, who were travelling in the car along with as many men, alleged that they were raped at gunpoint after they tried to resist the robbery bid. Pilot said that both the central government and the state government had failed to realise their electoral promises.
"Government has failed to address internal and external security issues. People are insecure in their homes and jawans are sacrificing their life on borders," Pilot said. Pilot also accused the BJP of stalling all public welfare schemes launched by the previous UPA government.
