Directorate of Field Publicity organises Interactive Programme

Udhampur, Jun 21: As part of the ongoing Special Outreach Campaign launched by the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India throughout the country, the Field Publicity Unit, Udhampur Organised a day long programme at Government Higher Secondary School Latti.
During the day long programme a number of IEC activities were carried out to spread the message and promotion of various schemes launched by the Government of India for the overall development of the masses. The schemes which were taken up for awareness and promotion were "Beti bachao Beti Padhao, Sukanya Samridhi Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, three social security schemes, Fasal Beema Yojana, Soil Health card, Kissan Credit Card, Krishi Sinchai Yojana etc". The day long programme started with a colourful Rally in which about 400 students participated. The Rally started from Govt. Higher Secondary School, Latti passed through main Bazar and culminated at the samd Institute. The participants holding placards and chanting slogans like "Beti bachao Beti padhao, Swachh Bharat Swasth Bharat, Mera Khata Bhagividata etc. added more strength to promotion of these schemes. The Rally was flagged off by Dr,Tahir Firdous, SDM, Duddu.
After the culmination of Rally, a number of Resource person drawn from J&K Bank, Jammu Central Cooperative Bank, Health department, Rural Development, Agriculture department, Rural Self Employment Training Institute, delivered key note addresses on various aspects, provisions and components of these schemes.
Dr, Tahir Firdous, SDM, Daddu who was the chief Guest of the function while addressing the gathering appreciated the role of DFP for organising such programmes in far flung and inaccessible areas for the benefit of Masses. He was of the view that it is also responsibility of people to avail maximum benefits from these schemes. He also underlined the need for more and more programmes in remote and far flung areas of Udhampur.
