Hunger strike by Contractual Lecturers enters 130th day

Jammu, June 23: The hunger strike of Contractual Lecturers enters 130th day today but govt. paid no attention toward the genuine demands of regularization as per Civil Services Special Provision Act 2010. The Contractual Lecturers today Protested in a different manner by taking out Shav Yatra of the J&K State govt. who is unnecessarily paying deaf ears towards their demands it has been done, on the eve of completion of 130th day of their hunger strike. While protesting the Contractual Lecturers were raising slogan like Hamari Mange Puri Karo Puri Karo, J&K govt. haye haye, Contractual Lecturers Ko Regularize Karo, Nahi to Kursi Shod Do etc.
While addressing the media person Mr. Arun Bakhshi State President of the Association said that they have repeatedly requesting and appealing the govt. to concede their demands but govt. is always paying deaf ears towards their genuine demands.
He also said that this type of cruel and apathetic attitude of the govt. is now intolerable due to which Contractual Lecturers are now fed up and feeling harassed. He said we have never expected such type of attitude of govt. as which has been done by the previous govt.
Mr. Bakhshi said that winds used to be changed according to the circumstances. If the previous govt. have faced such type of changes than now winds are taking this govt. towards the same situation which this PDP-BJP govt. is going to face.
At last the Contractual Lecturers after culmination of the rally set blazed the Effigy of State govt. and warned the govt. to avoid such type of cruel attitude towards the Highly Educated community or otherwise the consequences will definitely dash the govt. to the ground.
Mr. Zabir Hussain shah said that their confidence with all this are stronger now move and they will never Lift this Dharna till some concrete result for their regularization as per Civil Services Special Provision Act 2010, comes out.
Mr. Sulinder Kumar, Rakesh Kumar, Rajni Sharma and Seema Sharma were also on chain hunger strike today in rotation.
