Jammu, July 20: In a petition filed by Dinesh Gupta Ex-Chairman Citizen Cooperative Banknon-holding of elections to the Board of Directors of the Citizens Cooperative Bank Limited, Jammu. He, on the edifice of case set up, is seeking direction to respondents to comply with provisions of Section 29 (4) of the J&K Cooperative Societies Act as also this Court's judgment dated 19th April 2017 passed in batch of writ petitions titled S.Harvinder Singh v State of J&K and another, with further prayer to direct respondents not to undertake any activity which has the effect of imparting future working and functioning of the Bank and not to take any administrative/policy decision after cessation of their term on 1st June 2017.
Justice Tashi Rabstan after hearing both the sides observed that since date for conducting of election has been notified in terms of Notification dated 10.7.2017, it would be appropriate to dispose of this petition with the direction to respondents shall go ahead with the election process as per the date fixed in aforementioned Notification dated 10.7.2017 and in any case no further date shall be extended.
