Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrates Janmashtami

JAMMU, Aug 14: Lord Mahavira Playway School celebrated Janmashtami and Independence Day with great zeal and fervor. A number of activities were organized to mark the twin celebrations.
The whole campus wore a festive look with dahi handis decorated by the kindergarten students who were dressed in fancy attires for various activities. The kindergarten section took out an impressive table auto mark the Janmashtami celebration. They also presented a splendid dance performance.
The primary section had a Character Enactment Competition where they mesmerized the audience with their marvelous enactments of various freedom fighters and characters Senior students presented a vibrant cultural program performing patriotic dance numbers, speeches and group songs.
A skit was also presented by class 5th students depicting the relevance of unity and brotherhood. Sweets were distributed among the students and the faculty.
Principal Madhu Sharma applauded the students for their excellent performances and stressed upon the need for peace, unity and brotherhood and also congratulated the students and the staff on the 70th Independence Day and encouraged them to work hard towards the progress and prosperity of the motherland.
