Militants hurled a grenade at a road opening party of CRPF and police at Batpora in Magam area, 20 kilometres from here, a police official said.
He said three CRPF personnel and one policeman were injured in the grenade blast.
The injured personnel have been admitted to SKIMS Medical College hospital at Bemina here.
The attack came amidst stringent security arrangements across Kashmir valley for tomorrow's Independence Day celebrations.
However, an explosive, apparently left behind at an encounter site around 40 days back in Kashmir's Pulwama district, went off today, injuring a boy, police said.
Seventeen-year-old Danish Ahmad Khanday was injured when a shell, he found near an encounter site at Bamnloo in Pulwama, exploded, a police official said.
The boy was taken to a local hospital from where doctors referred him to the SMHS hospital here for treatment, he said.
