BLSKS celebrates Independence Day

Jammu, Aug 16: To mark the 71th Independence Day & Janamashtmi, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan organized an impressive cultural programe with enthusiasm at open air theatre, Durga Bhawan Janipur, Jammu. The Function was inaugurated by Sehjjad Hussain Poonchi, President All India Culture association as Chief Guest who unfurled the National Flag along with V.K.Magotra Former Regional Director, Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Government of India, Mr. M.L.Dogra. Chairman, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, Master Kartar Chand, Renowned Music Composer, Dr. Tara Singh Charak Former, Deputy Director, Health Department of J&K Government, R.P. Amla Former Assistant of Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govern ment of India who were the Guest of Honors. The Programme commenced with National Anthem "Jan Gan Man" and "Vande Matram".
The patriotic items special presented by the students of the sansthan were presented on the occasion and music was composed by Raju Bajgal, Senior Music Instructor BLSKS items LIKE "Ham Sab Ek Hain", "Suno-Suno Bharat Vasio", "Uncha Rahe Tiranga", "jab muje sehraaun", "Desh sada Dogra", "Sada Jammu Kashmir di vakhri Shan" and musical Play "Bharat Mahan" were the special features of the program. The Chief Guest recalled the contribution of freedom-fighters in attaining India's Freedom & exhorted the people to preserve its freedom at all cost. After the flag hosting an impressive cultural program was presented by the students of music & computer Institution, artists of BLSKS & Sangam Tru Art production. The Play was written, produced, directed by M.L. Dogra, Chairman, Blsks.
Earlier welcoming the audience Mr.V.K.Magotra, MD,Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan highlighted the importance of the day & said on the stroke of midnight, 15 Aug 1947, two nations were born, India and Pakistan, India's Independence Day is the most important day to all the Indian citizens and has been mentioned forever in the history. It is the day when we got freedom from the British rule after many years of hard struggle by the great freedom fighters of India. We celebrate Independence Day every year on 15th of August to remember the first day of freedom of India as well as remember all the sacrifices of the great leaders who have sacrificed their lives in getting freedom for India. India got independence on 15th of August in 1947 from the British rule. After independence we got our all the fundamental rights in our own Nation, our Motherland. We all should feel proud to be an Indian and admire our fortune that we took birth on the land of an Independent India. & also urged upon the people of Jammu & Kashmir state in making India- "A Proud Nation". All the renowned artistes and students took a solemn pledge on the occasion to eradicate social evils & to foster the sprits National unity& Communal Harmony.
