Jammu, Aug 16: The heavy rainfall which not only distorted the lives of the people on day to day basis but also spoiled the ration quota. In the rural CAPD godowns the water got penetrated through the gates which spoiled the ration kept under storage. The ration kept in the godowns was spoiled as the water seepage led to the lumps in the ration which is supposed to be thrown for animals is now being distributed to people.
The workers of Dogra Front & Shiv Sena under the leadership of President Mr Ashok Gupta took out a procession in Jammu city against the CAPD for the distribution of sub standard ration to the people in the rural areas resulting in a situation of havoc among the people.
The dream of prosperous and developed India just cannot be achieved by getting the FDI but a prosperous India is something in which every citizen has food to eat as it will result in elimination of poverty but a move like this is just not a step in the same direction. Gupta lambasted the authorities for such callous and un humane approach of the CAPD over ration distribution and provision for ration cards. He said that ration is the basic need of each individual and no hard and fast rules should be put for issuing ration cards.
He demanded that fresh ration cards should be given on the basis of identity cards like voter cards and aadhar cards also. He said that by present ration policy the public is facing hardships and high handedness of authorities are make life of people miserable. He said that the complaints have been received from inhabitants of many areas that they are not being issued ration commodities from their respective Government ration depot.
