Contractual Lecturers’ hunger strike enters 240th day

14/10/2017

Jammu Oct 13: The hunger strike of 10+2 Contractual Lecturers enters 240 day today but govt. is salient over the matter. 240day is a very longer period which covered winter , summer season and again the winter season on our head and also we have faced so many hardships during this period. Only statutory attitude of the govt. has been seen only which is intolerable.
While addressing the Media person Mr Arun Bakhshi President of the Association said that we have not only seen but everyone of this state has seen the dirty face of this govt. Neither the previous Govt has done anything for the 10+2 Contractual Lecturers nor the existing govt. Is doing anything.
Previous has done nothing which resulted into their omissions and now the existing govt is doing same which will definitely be committed too.
Mr. Bakhshi said that we have decided will back only after taking our right because we have been struggling genuinely for our regularization as per Civil Services Special Provision act 2010, a Legislature has passed by the govt for the regularization of all the Ad-hoc/Contractual /consolidated /Temporary employees.
Mr. Bakhshi said that the representative of this Govt (Ministers) have given them fake assurance only till date by the saying to Regularise in phased manner, constitution of committee etc that was only done in order to snub our agitation.
It is very strange to say that females are sitting on chain hunger strike along with their small kids but it is very shameful to say that our Chief Minister being a female never paid any attention deliberately. On the other side it is very shameful that the policies made by the central Govt. like Beti Bachao Beti Padao, Ladli Beti etc have been thrashed by the J&K govt and Hon'ble Prime Minister of India sh. Narinder Modi never tried to intervene in order to ensure weather the policies of central Govt have been implemented or not. Each and everybody is saying about the development of the country especially initiative have been taken for the development of J&K state but if the representatives are unable, incompetent, illiterates then how a country can progress.
