14/10/2017

Jammu, Oct 13: Concerned over the fast deteriorating situation in J&K and failure of BJP-PDP coalition to restore law and order, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister sought imposition of Governor Rule in the State without any further delay. He was addressing a press conference at Press Club Jammu today. While briefing the galaxy of media, Mr. Singh also announced JKNPP's reconstituted Secretariat and Executive body.
Expressing serious concern over the breakdown of Administrative and constitutional machinery in the State which had witnessed glorification of secessionists, frequent terror attacks on security and defense personnel, intensified cease fire violation from across the border, assault on Amar Nath Ji pilgrims, civil unrest , clashes, public attacks on police stations and security forces in Kashmir, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh said that the Ministers who ought to have come out of their hiding and made them-selves available to the civil society had deliriously shun their responsibility thus allowing the situation to further deteriorate. Regretting that the separatists, subversives and anti nationals had virtually taken control of the situation in the valley, he deplored the portrayal of Asiya Andrabi, Chairperson of DeM as woman achiever along with the women legends of the country and the State in the banner of "Beti Padhao, Beti Bachao" during an official function in Anantnag recently. He said that only last year during the tourism festival in Kashmir, the name of "Hari Parbhat" was shown as "Kohi-maran". And further in the tenders floated in respect Mubarak Mandi Cable Car, the name of "Bahu" was changed to Shahbad. He said that Anantnag was frequently being referred to as Islamabad in several references. He said that dishonor of national flag had become a routine feature in Kashmir with even the Chief Minister openly laying down conditions for hoisting the Tricolur in Kashmir. He said that the incumbent BJP-PDP govt had to accept the responsibility for such obnoxious moves that had whipped up passions not only in the state but all across the country.
While ridiculing the tall slogans of 'zero tolerance' against anti nationals given by BJP, he regretted that the saffron leaders had been merely playing the role of junior partner in the PDP govt and nothing else. He said that situation in the valley had worsened to such an extent that the stone pelters and anti- nationals openly dared to assault and manhandle the CRPF personnel on duty in full public view. "Recently four militants from Lashkar-e-Taiba barged into the house of a BSF constable Muhammad Ramzan Parray in Hajin area of north Kashmir, killed him on the spot and stabbed his four family members. Couple of months ago, a young unarmed Army Lieutenant Umar Fayaz was abducted and shot dead by the militants in Shopian district whose bullet riddled body was found lying few Kms away from his house. Similarly in another incident, the militants attacked a police jeep and killed SHO Feroz Ahmad Dar along with his five associates and disfigured their bodies in a reprisal attack. Further, the festival of Eid in the State was marred when DSP Mohd. Ayub Pandith was lynched to death in a broad day light by a subversive mob at Jama Masjid in Srinagar", anguished Harsh divulged.
Meanwhile, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh also announced JKNPP's reconstituted Secretariat and Executive body.
