One person arrested with 13 Gm Heroin, 6 Kg Poppy Straw

JAMMU, Oct 13: In continuation to operation “Sanjeevani” a special drive against drugs launched by Jammu Police, today Gandhi Nagar Police achieved a success by apprehending one person along with 13 Gm Heroin, 6 Kg Poppy Straw and sharped edged weapons (1 Khokhri & 1 Toka.).
Todayon 13-10-2017 Gandhi NagarPolicelaid a surprisednakanearShastri Nagar Chowk. During nakachecking, Police partysignaled one Scorpio Car bearing registration No. JK 02 BK-2975 for Police check.During search of the vehicle, Police party recovered 13 Gm Heroin, 6 Kg Poppy Straw and sharped edged weapons (1 Khokhri & 1 Toka) from the possession of driver.In this regard case FIR No.181/ 2017 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Gandhi Nagarand further investigation of the case is going on. During preliminary enquiry it came to light that the above said person is main supplier of drugs in Jammu.
The arrest and recovery was made bythe team headed by SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar Dy. SP (Prob) Dr. Sunniya Waniunder the supervision of SDPO City South, Rafiq Manhas and SP City South Sandeep Choudhary IPS.
