Choudhary takes over as ADGP Armed

Srinagar, Oct 13: Arun Kumar Choudhary, IPS took over as Additional Director General of Police Armed Jammu & Kashmir today.
A.K Choudhary is a 1991 batch IPS officer of Jammu and Kashmir cadre. Mr. A.K Choudhary IPS ADGP/ Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation has been transferred and posted as ADGP Armed J&K, vide J&K Government order No.1482-Home of 2017 dated 12.10.2017.
A.K Choudhary succeeds Lalatendu Mohanti IPS, whose services have been placed at the disposal of Government of India on deputation basis. Immediately after assuming the charge of ADGP Armed, A.K Choudhary conducted meeting of officers and officials of APHQ. While addressing the meeting, the ADGP impressed upon the officers/ officials of APHQ to continue their respective assignments with the same zeal and zest as they had been doing in the past. He advised the Staff posted at APHQ to ensure speedy disposal of official matters preferably pertaining to welfare issues of subordinates working at grass route level.
