SP City South interacts with law students

JAMMU, Oct 13: In continuation to operation "Paathshala" launched by Jammu Police, today an institutional visit was organized for the students of Department of Law, University of Jammu and Dogra Law College by Gandhi Nagar Police Station, Jammu.
The purpose of this visit was to make law students aware about Police work, their interaction with police in their professional life. Various aspects of crime, registration, investigation and trials were discussed in detail.
SP City South Sandeep Chaudhary interacted with students on a wide range of topics which included Indian and American law system, gender sensitization etc. He emphasized on the value of rule of law for any society. He told the students that there are many challenges which hinder swift justice delivery on occasions.
The issue of drug addiction and drug paddling was also discussed. The students were told that Lawyers must co-operate the Police to eradicate this menace from society.
SHO P/S Gandhi Nagar Dy. SP (Prob.) Dr. Sunniya Wani also interacted with students on this occasion. She made the students aware about the procedures of registration of FIR, investigation and final reports which is produced in the court of law.
Students and faculty were of the opinion that such institutional visits will go a long way in improving criminal justice.
