YCET team visit blind school

JAMMU, Oct 14: As part of their social welfare initiative, Electrical Depart ment of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology visited Louie Braille Memorial Residential School for Sightless girls, Roopnagar Jammu, on 14th October 2017. The team of senior 7th & 5th semester students accompanied by faculty members of Electrical Department, arrived bearing several gifts and commodities, which were subsequently distributed among the pupils present on campus.
The team also spent time interacting with the visually challenged students of the school, listening to the plights of the students and adding to their motivation levels. Speaking from the school management behalf Mr. Ramdass Dubey praised the efforts of Electrical department of YCET and heartedly conveyed thanks to the visiting team.
The students of YCET responded to their social responsibilities by adding that instead of burning money on fire crackers on Diwali, this indeed is a better way to celebrate a festival that recognizes the victory of light over dark. The team further silently pledged to carry on such activities of social importance and thanked the management of YCET for allowing them the liberties to conduct such campaigns.
