JAMMU, Oct 14: A meeting of state Kranti Dal was held today under the presidentship of Pritam Sharma in which Pritam Sharma expressed great concern over the problems faced by Jammunities because of headless Jammu Municipal Corporation as the post of Commissioner JMC has been laying vacant for the last 10 days. Further he expressed, it has been observed that for the last 2-3 years, the person sitting of the chair of commissioner JMC could not complete tenure due to political interference.
That proves when the cat is away, the milk will play holds true in this case, as lanes and drains are broken, heaps of garbage lying here and there, thereby no cleanliness is being done by state-safai-karam-charis leading favorable conditions for the mosquito to breed resulting in the spread of Dengue.
He further told that Dengue is spreading in the city of temples and out of more than 1000 tests conducted in Govt. Medical College, more than 300 cases were found positive. He expressed displeasure over the non-availability of medical kits for detection of dengue due to which patients were forced to go nearby places outside the state. He further suggested Health Deptt. to affix boarding in the city indicating preventive measures to be taken in advance and during the dengue fever. No preventive measures have been taken by JMC to deal with the calamity even the fogging is not being done to required extent. Others office bearers present in the meeting includes Vijay Kumar, Akhil Gandotra, Tarun Gupta, Nitin Waliya, Neeraj Dhamin, Amit menia, Rajat Gupta etc.
