DC Kishtwar visits Padder, listens to people’s issues

KISHTWAR, Oct 15: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Angrez Singh Rana today called upon public to cooperate with the departments in removing bottlenecks hampering developmental works. He also warned that law shall take its own course against the persons involved in causing hindrances in the smooth execution of the works. He was speaking at a public meeting here at Gulabgarh (Padder) to get firsthand appraisal of the developmental scenario in the area and to have direct interaction with the local residents about the problem they face in day to day life. The Public of the area demanded filling vacant posts in various departments, enhancement in the scale of ration under NFSA keeping in view the limited cropping season of the area , early payment of land compensation, old age pension, augmentation of electric and water supply schemes, clearance of wage liabilities under NREGA, maintenance of road network in the area including blacktopping of the Karthie-Gulabgarh stretch of Galhar-Sansari Road.
Rana passed on spot directions to the concerned officers to resolve the issues on priority basis and assured the public that the matters which do not come under the compliance of the DDC would be taken up with the higher authorities

The DDC directed the officers of KVIB , Handicraft Handloom, Social Welfare Sheep/ Animal Husbandry, Labour, Horticulture, Agriculture - the departments directly involved with the schemes meant for the uplift of the poor masses to organize awareness camps at Gulabgarh Padder.Certain innovative suggestions regarding the improvement / development of Gulabargh were also given by the participants.
The DDC assured that the beautification of Gulabgarh which includes illuminations from Entry gate to Helipad, parking yards, and parks shall be completed before the commencement of coming Machail Yatra. He said that besides pilgrim tourism Gulabgarh will also be developed as base camp for the trackers.
