Kansal visits proposed sites; directs for early start of work

JAMMU, Oct 15: To take on the spot review of preparations ahead of annual move of civil secretariat and other offices to winter capital, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, Rohit Kansal, today visited different Estate department colonies and took stock of the arrangements being made for comfortable stay of the employees. He was accompanied by Divisional Commissioner, Jammu Dr. Mandeep Bhandari.
Principal Secretary inspected the renovation, facelift and other repair works and directed the concerned agencies to speed up the pace to complete the same well before opening of the move offices in the winter capital. He also took stock of power, drinking water, sanitation, security and other facilities for employees. He directed the concerned department to ensure proper sanitation in and around the premises, uninterrupted power supply and provision of safe drinking water for the colonies. He asked Divisional Commis sioner Jammu to ensure that all arrangements are in place at the time of Darbar Move.
He also visited the sites at Ahta Amar Singh and Panjtirthi where new flats are going to be constructed for the employees. He directed the concerned department to start the execution of work immediately. He also directed for immediate black topping of roads of Civil Secretariat. Among others, Chief Engineer PDD, Ashwani Gupta, Chief Engineer, PHE Ashok Gandotra, Chief Engineer, PWD Sudhir Shah, Deputy Director Estates Satish Sharma, Executive Engineer M R Sharma and other officers of Estates Department accompanied the Principal Secretary.
