My children gifting me handmade cards on my birthday makes the day special: Ronit Roy

Ronit Roy will have a working birthday today. And the actor says it has always been like this for the past 15 years. “I usually shoot on my birthday, so the people I am working with end up celebrating my birthday on the sets. This year I am planning to take cake for everyone,” Ronit says, adding that he doesn’t believe in celebrating his birthday.
Not the one to have an elaborate birthday celebration, Ronit says, “The person you see on screen has may layers and sub-layers, but in reality, I am an extremely simple person. I don’t celebrate my birthday in a grand way.” Ronit, who is currently shooting for a web series, says that he plans to finish his work for the day quickly and enjoy a quite dinner with his family.
Asked about his most memorable birthday, Ronit says, “On my 50th birthday (in 2015) I had organised a Mata Ki Chowki at my place, and my colleagues from the industry, respected seniors, Amitabh Bachchan, Shatrughan Sinha, among others, attended it. That is my most memorable birthday.”
And if there is one thing that truly makes his day special, then it is the love he gets from his children.
“They make these handmade [birthday] cards and make sure they find the best quote possible to write in them.
That makes my day,” adds Ronit, who has three children, Ona Bose Roy, from his earlier marriage, and Aador Bose Roy and Agasthya Bose Roy with wife Neelam Singh.
