Steps afoot to provide better surfaced roads in Gandhi Nagar: Kavinder

JAMMU, Oct 16: In order to fastrack the work for providing smooth and surfaced roads in Gandhi Nagar constituency, Speaker J&K Assembly and MLA Gandhi Nagar, Kavinder Gupta today inaugurated the newly Macadamized road of Nai Basti Bazar work.
He was accompanied by SDM South, Sonu Pargal, Executive Engineer, PWD(R&B), Rajan Mengi, AEE, PWD(R&B), Arvind Gupta, Baldev Billoria, Vinay Gupta, Harbans Chowdhary, Pawan Singh, Lokesh Kumar, Ramesh Kumar and other prominent citizens of the area.
Stressing for promoting new projects in neglected areas by upgrading the existing infrastructure, he said that the present government is committed to develop each and every corner of the State.
The speaker said that the people are noticing and appreciating the work done by the present government. He said that the government has formulated a comprehensive development plan keeping in mind all the social, economic and climatic factors effecting the development.
Soon after inaugurating the macadamization work, he apprised that the whole State is witnessing unprecedented development since the formation of BJP-PDP government and urged the people to personally monitor the works being executed in their respective areas.
He said that the several projects of PDD, PHE, Education, Health, PWD(R&B) and other departments have been initiated in Gandhi Nagar which will play vital role in making it a model constituency.
For ensuring better road connectivity to left out areas, he informed that works on various links, roads, deep drains and bridges have been taken up under several central and state sponsored schemes.
He added that it is the endeavor of the present government to provide better infrastructural facilities and they are well aware of the difficulties faced by the people.
