Anti-Drugs awareness seminar held

JAMMU, Oct 16: In continuation to operation 'Paathshala' launched by Jammu Police to make every student aware about the drug abuse, an anti-drugs awareness seminar was organized in Govt. Hr. Sec. School Nagrota by SDPO Nagrota Yashbir Singh alongwith SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr. Bhushan Singh Manhas. Beside the students, the school staff was also present there. The students were made aware about the drugs and their harmful effects in the life.
He advised the students tochannelize the energy in sports activities and to make their future career bright instead of indulging indrug abuse.
He also briefed the students about road safety tips &to obey traffic rules while on road and make use of dial 100 services in any problem /difficulty (self-safety) or in case of eve teasing. SDPO Nagrota inspired the students towards sports activities. He also distributed the sportskitand other sports items to the students of above mentioned school under civic action programme.
The School Principal Santosh Kumari concluded the programme by thanking the participants and told the students to do it practically what they have learnt in the programme “Drive against Drugs”.
