CRPF reviews security arrangements

Jammu: Oct 18: A security review meeting was held on 18.10.17 at Banihal and Kishtwar to assess the security arrangement.
S N Shrivastava IPS, Special DG J&K Zone CRPF presided over the meeting which was attended by CRPF officials and officers of other sister agencies viz.
Army, JK Police and Intelligence agencies. During the meeting, Shrivastava briefed the officials about the prevailing security scenario in the region and challenges impending before the Forces in the backdrop of Darbar move from Srinagar to Jammu.
He also stressed upon the need to enhance the level of synergy and cooperation amongst all the Forces operating in the State to achieve the ultimate aim. He appreciated the professionalism displayed by CRPF in ensuring peace and tranquility in the region and emphasized upon the need to continue doing the job in the same manner.
He said that CRPF has improved its capabilities with the passage of time and assured that the time is not far when the State would be free of violence.
At the occasion Shrivastava encouraged the troops and urged them to continue their good work with full zeal.
He also assured them that the welfare of the members of the force and their families is high on his priority. He also extended Diwali greetings and wished good health to all the personnel present during the event. Subsequently he interacted with media and wished Diwali to them also. During visit he was accompanied by A.V. Chauhan, IGP, CRPF Jammu Sector and S.K. Mishra, DIGP, (Ops) Jammu North CRPF.
