I never thought I will become a playback singer

Shakthishree Gopalan has come a long way in her music career, what with giving us hits like Nenjukkulle, Kadhal Kan Kattudhe, Vaaya En Veera and Azhagu Kutti Chellam.
The Chennai girl says that she keeps updating herself as a singer to keep up with the latest trends.
"Besides being a musician, I am a music lover. I always keep track of the latest musicians in town and the latest albums/songs that are being released. I am hungry for new music and constantly look for inspiration. It is all about listening to what is out there," says the singer.
Talking about her musical journey, Shakthishree says, "The journey has been pretty awesome and I'm thankful for a lot of amazing things that happened to me.
Music has been a huge part of my life. I never thought I will become a playback singer and didn't really think as a career option when I was a child. I have had the opportunity to work with some of the best music composers of our time and I hope that continues."
