Adbi Kunj organises tributes meet

Jammu, Dec 7: On the eve of 1st death anniversary of renowned poet and former member of Rajya Sabha Mohammad Shafie Khan "Bekal Utsahie" on Dec 3, Adbi Kunj held a multifaceted literary tributes meet at its literary centre in the premises of Kidzee School Talab Tillo, Jammu which was attended by a large number of literary luminaries and other literary lovers from the different walks of the life. The meet was presided over by a well known singer and music composer Chaman Sagoch while literary Secretary Bishan Dass Khak
conducted the proceeding of the meet.
While paying tribute to Shafie Khan, Sham Talib president of the organization said that Bekal Utsaie was not just a poet but he was renowned and respected social activist. In this meet, Adbi Kunj also paid tributes to renowned poet and teacher Late Malakh Raj Jojara and elder brother of prominent social reformer Ashwani Jojara. Adbi Kunj also paid tributes to Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah on birth anniversary and Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar on death anniversary.
In the meet, a composite poetic round up was also held in which Chaman Sagoch specially sang a famous Urdu ghazal of Sham Talib.
The poets who participated in the meet included Fozia Mughal Zia, Santosh Nadan, Aarash Dalmotra, Masoom Kishtwari, S.K. Gupta, Rajeev Kumar, Bishan Dass Khak, Raj Kamal, Ved Uppal, Sanjeev Kumar, Charanjit Chann and Sham Talib. The vote of thanks was proposed by Aarash Dalmotra.
