One arrested with 8 Grams Heroin

JAMMU, Dec 7: In continuation to operation Sanjeevani, a special drive against drugs launched by Jammu Police, asuccess was achieved when one person was apprehended by Nagrota Police and recovered 8 Grams Heroin.
Today Police Party of Police Post Sidhrawhile patrolling at Batra area intercepted one person, who on seeing the Police tried to escape from the spot. During his personal search, Police party recovered 8 Grams Heroin like substance from his possession. In this regard a case FIR No. 265/2017 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Nagrota and further investigation of the case is going on.During preliminary enquiry it came to light that the abovesaid person is also involved in theft cases and drug peddling.
The arrest and recovery was made bythe team headed by SI Tariq Ahmed I/C PP Sidhra and ASI Om Parkash of PP Sidhra with the guidance of SHO P/S Nagrota Inspr. Bhushan Singh Manhas, under the supervision of SDPO Nagrota, Yashbir Singh and SP Rural, Shivdeep Singh.
