08/12/2017

JAMMU, Dec 7: Expressing solidarity with the patriots who were detained while unfurling Tricolour at Lal Chowk in Srinagar a day ago, a strong contingent of Panther activists spearheaded by Mr. Harsh Dev Singh JKNPP Chairman and Former Minister, Mr. Balwant Singh Mankotia State President JKNPP along with other leaders staged a vociferous protest demonstration against the BJP at Exhibition Ground Jammu today. The agitated protestors while raising ant-govt. and anti-BJP slogans accused Saffron brigade of being hand in glove with PDP in suppressing the nationalists in the State to enjoy the power ride with its ally.
Addressing the media, Mr. Harsh Dev Singh regretted that six patriots were despicably arrested and detained by the J&K Police while they were hoisting the Tricolour at Lal Chowk, Srinagar in a bid to give a befitting reply to the secessionist forces and Kashmir centric parties who were issuing anti-national and seditious statements challenging the integrity of the State and the country. Recalling such obnoxious incidents which had seriously discouraged the morale of the nationalist people showing respect to the national symbols, he said that during the Independence Day this year, a Kashmiri Pandit lady was also stopped and detained for raising slogans of "Vande Mataram" and "Bharat Mata Ki Jai" at Lal Chowk Srinagar amid shut down called by the separatists.
“The perfidious silence of the BJP came to fore during the NIT Kashmir row when the nationalist students were maltreated, threatened, baton charged and abused for upholding the honour of the Tricolor and confronting the anti-national elements. While the State police invoked numerous criminal charges against the students which led to their exodus from the valley, the BJP leaders maintained criminal silence and remained callous over the plight of the young patriots. Likewise, several police cases were also registered against those who raised slogans of "Vande Matram" in Rajouri", anguished Harsh added.
He wondered on the neo jurisprudence of the BJP partnered State government within which the nationalists waving national flag were assaulted, humiliated and detained while the anti nationals inciting sedition and waging war against the Country were allowed to go scot free and offered premiums, doles and jobs.
Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included Rajesh Padgotra, Gagan Partap Singh, Karnail Singh, Shanker Singh Chib, Parshotam Parihar, Rajeshwar Sambyal, Shakti Singh, Rajesh Gondhi, Rashpaul Singh, Rohit Sharma, Capt. Narotam Singh, Mohinder Singh, Vishav Singh, Udhayveer besides others.
