DB issues notices to CS, GAD & Delinquent IAS Officer in a plea seeking shifting of Excise Commissioner

Jammu, Dec 11: In the much publicized Public Interest Litigation (PIL) highlighting the alleged hushing up of Rajouri Development Authority Scam, today a Division Bench of the State High Court comprising Chief Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed and Justice Sanjeev Kumar in the open court issued notices to Chief Secretary J&K State, Commissioner / Secretary to Govt. of J&K, General Administration Depart ment and Mohd. Javed Khan IAS, the then Chief Executive Officer, Rajouri Development Authority and presently Excise Commissioner, J&K State requiring them to submit their response by or before February 14th, 2018 in a Miscellaneous Petition filed by the petitioner seeking directions to the CS and GAD to shift / transfer Mohd. Javed Khan, IAS from the coveted post of Excise Commissioner, J&K to any other non-sensitive equivalent post till the conclusion of the regular departmental enquiry.
Today, the Division Bench considered the fresh Miscellaneous Application filed by the petitioner wherein the petitioner has sought appropriate directions to the Chief Secretary and GAD to shift / transfer the delinquent IAS Officer Mohd. Javed Khan from the post of Excise Commissioner to any other equivalent post till the conclusion of regular
departmental enquiry.
After considering the submissions of Advocate S.S. Ahmed, the Division Bench headed by Chief Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed took cognizance of the fresh Misc. Application and issued notices to the Chief Secretary J&K State, Commissioner /Secretary GAD and delinquent IAS Officer Mohd. Javed Khan requiring them to submit their response by or before 14th Feb. 2018 in a plea seeking shifting of incumbent Excise Commissioner J&K to any other non-sensitive equivalent post till the conclusion of regular departmental enquiry.
