IGP Jammu reviews Security arrangements for Republic Day


JAMMU, Jan 12: IGP Jammu Zone, Jammu Dr. S. D. Singh-IPS held a meeting with the officers of intelligence agencies, Army/BSF/CRPF/Armed/Distt Police and Civil Administration at Conference Hall, Police Control Room, Jammu to discuss the Police/ Security arrangements required to be made for the celebration of Republic Day-2018.
IGP, Jammu Zone, Jammu, stressed upon all the officers that proper briefing be given to the officers/ Officials deployed for Republic Day duties in view of the present security scenario state and continuous Cease fire violations from across the
border on IB/LOC.
He stressed upon all the participants for effective and co-ordinated efforts at gross root level for smooth conduct of the National events. He further advised that adequate security arrangements be made in and around the venue of Republic Day function which is organized at M.A. Stadium Jammu. He advised the officer of district Police/CID SB that census of the inhabitants /residing in and around the stadium, checking of Hotels and other lodgements be under taken on priority. Joint nakas be established at selected places so that no ANE/ ASE could sneak in the Jammu city.
Dr. Singh further directed all the intelligence agencies including SSP Jammu to activate their all resources available with them to generate intelligence having bearing on Republic Day-2018 in advance so that anti-national and anti-social elements could not succeed in their nefarious designs. He further said that Supervisory officers be directed to remain alert in their respective jurisdictional areas.
On the border management front, IGP Jammu Zone, stressed upon the DIG JSK Range and District SSP Jammu to lay Joint Nakas on all the infiltration routes. Night Patrolling on National Highway be conducted. Any input related to infiltration be disseminated with all concerned on real time basis. DIG JSK Range and SSP CID CI Jammu to mobilize their all resources particularly in border areas for collection of intelligence to prevent infiltration from across the border.
All Border Police Stations/ Police Posts, VDC's be strengthened and proper briefing be given to them by district SSsP/ASP/ SDOPs concerned regularly regarding nature/ importance of duties to be
performed by them.
He further said that a proper co-ordination be maintained among all the intelligence agencies, Army, PMF, Traffic and Security wing in their respective areas of jurisdiction to foil the nefarious designs of ANEs and ensure smooth and incident free conduct of National event.
He emphasized upon SSP Jammu/ SSP Traffic City, Jammu that people from all walks of life are likely to join the Republic Day function at MAM Stadium for which adequate parking slots be identified in advance so that vehicles are parked in an orderly manner. Traffic arrangements be made in such a manner so that general public may not feel any inconvenience while reaching the venue of function.

Commissioner SB, Jammu SSP Jammu, SSP Traffic, City SSP Traffic Rural, Jammu, SSP Security, SSP CID CI, CO IRP 10th Bn. SSP PCR, Jammu, SP Tele communication, SP APCR, Jammu, SP City North/ South/ Hqr/ Rural, SP Ops, Jammu, Dy.CO SDRF, Addl.SP CID SB, Jammu besides rep of 16 Corp and 26 Div.
