Govt has notified policy for regularization of daily rated workers: Veeri

JAMMU, Feb 12: Minister for Revenue & Parliamentary Affairs, Abdul Rehman Veeri on behalf of Finance Minister today informed the Legislative Assembly that the Government has already formulated a policy to regularize all eligible workers engaged in various government departments across the State.
He said the policy notified vide SRO-520 dated: 21-12-2017 is applicable to all such casual, seasonal, daily rated workers engaged post imposition of ban viz; 31st January 1994 in the State.
While replying to a Question by Usman Abdul Majid, the Minister said that as per the information collected through online Aadhaar based bio-metric identification process, the total number of persons whose particulars have been registered is 100501.
He said an Empowered Committee in the Finance Depart ment after proper scrutiny of proposals from the concerned Depart ments shall recommend creation of commensurate positions of "Government Service Assistants" (GSAs). The number of actual eligible persons shall be available only after Empowered Committee screens the departmental proposals, said the Minister.
