Former Chairman Legislative Council meets Governor

Jammu, Feb 13: Abdul Rashid Dar, former Chairman of Legislative Council, called on Governor N. N. Vohra at the Raj Bhavan here today. Dar discussed with the Governor his concerns about the obtaining security situation and about issues relating to the growth and development of district Anantnag and the adjoining areas in South Kashmir.
Governor urged Dar to continue sustained efforts for promoting a peaceful environment which would be conducive for the development and welfare of the people of Kashmir and particularly asked him to energise the civil society in his area to promote the interests of students at all levels and protect them from getting involved in non-academic activities.
