Agriculture Tour for twenty farmers organized

Jammu, Feb 14: The Army is organising a capacity building tour for twenty farmers of border areas to visit Punjab Agriculture University, Ludhiana and Haryana Agriculture University, Hisar.
The ten days tour was flagged off by the Commander Kalidhar Brigade in presence of Army and locals.
The initiative aims to give adequate exposure to the farmers and introduce them to the diverse and modern agriculture practices and rich socio - cultural heritage in other parts of the country.
These farmers have never got an opportunity to venture outside the state of J&K and have borne the effect of terrorism in the region.
It is a first exposure to other parts of India outside J&K state.
The participants are very enthusiastic, thrilled and looking forward to the opportunity being given to them.
