APS Damana bags third position in national level CBSE Science Exhibition

Jammu, Feb 14: APS Damana added one more feather in its cap of achievements by winning National Level CBSE Science Exhibition 2017-18 held in New Delhi. The CBSE Science Exhibition on Theme "Innovations In Sustainable Development" was held at Mount Abu Public School, Rohini, New Delhi. In this exhibition, about 400 CBSE Schools across the different regions of India participated with 461 exhibits under seven sub themes. APS Damana bagged third position among its category.
The exhibit of the school, christened as 'Free Energy Converter' which was firstly selected in Regional Level Science Exhibition held at Jalandhar in the month of January 2018.
The exhibit was very much appreciated by the Jury members and other participating teams. The participating students of APS Damana were appreciated and facilitated by Mr Anurag Tripathi, Secretary CBSE, Dr Sanyam Bhardwaj, Director CBSE and Mr Rajiv Chandran, National Information Officer, India & Bhutan and United Nation Centre. The exhibit was improved and polished under the guidance of Mrs Shallu Kapoor, HOD Science & Mr Vishal Sawhney, PGT (Chemi stry), APS Damana.
The team of school comprised of two students of Class XI, Master Ijaz Ahmed and Master Jagdeep Singh. The project was based on the concept of conversion of radiant energy into electrical energy.
The achievement of the school has highly been appreciated by Brig Abhijit Chandra, SM, Chairman of the School. The dream of success in the exhibit would not have been possible without the commendable and tremendous mentorship and efforts putforth by Dr Renu Gupta, Principal, APS Damana. The Principal also conveyed her appreciations to all who were instrumental in making this project successful.
