Kavinder launches construction of lanes, drains at Gangyal

Jammu, Feb 14: Speaker, Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, Kavinder Gupta today launched construction work of lanes and drains at ward no. 56, Gangyal which would be completed at a cost of Rs 14 lakh. The Speaker directed the concerned authorities of Jammu Municipal Corpor ation to complete the work within stipulated time frame so that the people are relieved from the problem of inundated water in the area. He said that completion of this project would fulfill the long pending demand of locals. While taking stock of other development works being executed in the area, the Speaker said that several schemes have been launched and completed in the area to provide better amenities to people including installation of poles and wires, laying of water pipes to provide clean drinking water, upgradation and opening of schools, better healthcare services and construction of lanes and drains. Senior officers of concerned departments and locals were present on the occasion.
