DFP Organises awareness Campaign

JAMMU, Feb 16: On the inaugural day of two days awareness campaign initiated by the Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information & Broadcasting, Government of India, Unit Rajouri at Government Boys Model Higher Secondary School, Thanna Mandi on 16th February 2018 the officials organised an inter School quiz contest and an Inter school symposium for students of various schools of Thanna Mandi. The programme is aimed at spreading awareness of various centrally sponsored schemes viz. Beti Bachao Beti Padhao, Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Ujjawalla Yojna, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojna and Rural Electrification and connecting Common Rural masses with nationwide programmes on various schemes.
On the first day of the campaign Inter School Quiz contest and an Inter School Symposium were organized. In quiz contest eight (8) students from 4 higher secondary schools of Thanna Mandi participated. The questions of the quiz contest were based on FREEDOM STRUGGLE, Centrally Sponsored Schemes, J&K STATE and Current Affairs.
A symposium on the above mentioned centrally sponsored schemes was also organized in which students of four Higher Secondary Schools viz. GBHSS ,GGHSS, M.E.T. HSS and Keralite HSS all from Thanna Mandi participated.
In the Inter School Sympsium 6 students from different schools participated and delivered key note addresses on various aspects and Provisions of these schemes. Km. Saba from Muslim Educational Trust, Km. Mehak Parveez from Govt. Girls Hr. Sec. School and Km.
Zarigha from Muslim Educational Trust were adjudged first, second and third respectively in order of merit.
Jenab Sadeeq Ahmed Ganai, Principal of the host School who presided over the function while interacting with audience appreciated the efforts of DFP for organizing such programmes in far flung and remote pockets of the State. During his address he underlined the importance of fearer gender, Swachhta, Ujwalla, Electificaton and Mudra yojana in our society for the over all development of the Nation.
The students of Govt. Boys Model Hr. Sec. School also witnessed live telecast of Prime Ministers "Pariksha Par Charcha" programme in their Smart Class.
A Galaxy of Experts viz. Jenab Tanveer Khan, Jenab Ghulam Mustaffa and Jenab Mohmad Qasim Mir acted as judges for symposium Competition.
