Jammu, Feb 17: Launching a scattering attack over the coalition government in the state for their total failure, JKPCC Chief, Ghulam Ahmad Mir has said that there is total policy paralysis due to inherent contradictions and divergent vested political interest amongst the two diametric opposite ruling partners PDP-BJP.
Mir said that the PDP and the BJP, the two coalition partners, were pulling in opposite directions in their functioning and lack of coordination has left the people disappointed and state passing through worst ever misrule. Over three years have passed but not a single promise made to the people of Jammu and Kashmir by the two parties the BJP in Jammu and the PDP in Kashmir has been fulfilled," he said. He claimed that the two parties were divided on the sensitive issues facing the state. He accused the state government of "failing" to live up to the expectations of the people of the state and address the problems of border residents, farmers, youths, employees, casual labourers and traders."Every section of the society is suffering as their grievances are not addressed. They are only concerned about welfare of their families and kiths & kins. Large scale favoritism, nepotism and corruption prevails in the state, he alleged there is anger among people.
The PDP-BJP has played with the sentiments of the people who voted them to power. People are fed up with their policies and the government has proved to be a utter failure. We have taken to the streets against governance deficit, lack of development and failure of the government to deliver on the promises made to the people of the Jammu and Kashmir," Mir said while interacting prominent persons of Gandhi Nagar constituency. Speaking on the occasion, Mir lashed out at the PDP-BJP coalition regime for creating an atmosphere of "total chaos, confusion and uncertainty" in the state in the last three years of its rule. He also said the present PDP-BJP government was "directionless" due to absence of any common point in their respective agendas.

"The state government has miserably failed on all fronts and its over 3 years in office has only given rise to a situation of uncertainty, chaos and confusion," alleged Mir.
He expressed serious concern over the "vitiating atmosphere" of peace and tranquility in the state due to the "wrong polices" of the present governments in the state and at the Centre. The Congress leader cautioned the people about the "designs of communal and divisive forces" in the state which were constantly on a lookout for opportunities to strike and create hatred. He also took serious note and expressed grave concern over the situation which had emerged in the Kashmir valley where the overall atmosphere of peace and tranquility had been "vitiated".
The former Minister said due to lack of political direction and infighting between the coalition partners as a result of their inherent contradictions, the administration seems to be unbridled that is a cause of concern for people whose grievances remain unresolved. He expressed dissatisfaction over steps taken by the administration in combating price rise or making utility services functional to the satisfaction of people. "The health and hygiene has become a big causality due to administrative apathy", he added. He hoped the district administration to come to the rescue of the people even as the PDP-BJP Government had preferred to remain mute spectator.
The program was organized by Panch Ch. Sham Din. Prominent among those present on the occasion include S. Ghulam Mohi Din, Rafiq Malik, Master Sahed, Bittu Sharma, Mohd. Abdul Hussain, Rafiq Rahmat Ali, Mir Alam, Gulam Ali, Sham Mohd., Bashir Ahmed, Maqbool Ahmad, Mohd. Iqbal and others.
