Jammu: Feb 18: Honoring teachers for their selfless efforts in changing the lives of students has always showed deep respect for them. Keeping this in mind, CT Group of Institutions, Jalandhar and CT University has organized the 'Best Teacher Award Ceremony' at Business School, Jammu University. Priya Sethi, Minister of State for Education remained Chief Guest for the occasion whereas Suraiya Jabeen, ADDC Jammu was the Guest of Honor.
The ceremony involved felicitation of 50 teachers from different schools and colleges of city like Jodhamal Public School, JP World School, Banyan International School, Cybernetics, Shiksha Niketan School, Mother India, JK Police Public School, Unique Public School, Model Academy and Dream Land Public School etc. Various teachers from different Insti-tutes like Government Polytechnic Jammu, Government Poly technic for Girls, Jammu, Gover-nment Polytechnic Kathua, Samba, Udha-mpur were also honored.
The title of 'Best Teacher' was based on the survey conducted amongst students regarding best teachers of various schools and colleges as they nominated the name for the teachers who deserves to get the Best Teacher Award for their services.
The event was started by showing the play on the journey of CT Group of Institutions in the worthy presence of S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group of Institutions. They felicitated all the teachers present on this occasion and honored them with a title of Best Teacher, awarding them a certificate and Memento recognizing their contribution to the teaching profession.
The awarded teachers on the occasion shared their teaching experiences with each other. S. Charanjit Singh Channi, Chairman, CT Group expressed his gratitude to all the teachers present on this occasion and said that such awards not only appreciate their work but their profession as well. These awards help them in giving due recognition in the society.
