Jammu 18 Feb: Ganga convenes public darbar at Data TalabJAMMU, FEBRUARY 18: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Chander Prakash Ganga held public darbar at Datta Talab. A good number of people drawn from different sections of the society met him and apprised him about their problems and grievances.
People apprised him about unscheduled power cuts, less availability of ration, providing of drinking water facilities and other developmental issues. Besides that unemployed youth of the area urged upon the Minister to formulate a policy to attract the private sector for adjustment of unemployed youth in the Industries and manufacturing units.
Ganga heard the grievances patiently and assured that whatever has been brought into his notice will be taken up with the concerned authorities for appropriate action. He also issued on spot direction to the concerned for the redressal of genuine demands of the people. Speaking on this occasion, the Minister said that government has provided a platform to the general public for direct interaction with its Ministers so the woes of the people are raised at highest level and mitigated. He said that the Centre Government headed by Narendra Modi and the PDP-BJP coalition in the State has been working towards development and welfare of the people of the State. He also said that an era of development and progress has started in the State adding that social and economic up-liftment of the weaker sections, downtrodden, women, youth and farmer is on prime agenda of both the governments.
He said that government is laying emphasis on improving road network by linking internal roads with National Highways to give a further fillip to development activities in the state. "Government is ensuring liberal funding under several state and centrally sponsored schemes to ensure overall development of the State", he added. The Minister asserted that durable roads and enhanced infrastructure tops the development agenda of the present dispensation and focus is being laid on upgrading and improving the road network in rural and remote areas. He said that the government has laid full focus on development of infrastructure and providing better civic amenities to the people.
