CRPF performing commendably in tandem with other Forces in J&K: ADG CRPF

JAMMU, Mar 19: Raised in the year 1939 as 'Crown Representative Police' and rechristened as 'Central Reserve Police Force' in 1949, the Force is celebrating its 79th Raising Day this year. Various programs are being organized at different units/ establishments to celebrate the occasion. One such program was organized today here at Group Centre CRPF Hiranagar, functioning at Nagrota.
Chief Guest of the occasion, VSK Kaumudi IPS Additional DG J&K Zone CRPF presented Director General's Commendation Discs and letters to the personnel who have been awarded such during the year for extraordinary work in operational or administrative fields. Kaumudi congratulated all the award recipients and encouraged them to continue the good work with full enthusiasm and zeal. He also mentioned that CRPF has done a commendable work during Amarnath Ji Yatra in the year 2017 alongwith other security agencies and will continue it during the upcoming yatra this year also. He also appreciated the level of cooperation and professional bond existing among the Forces in J&K. He reiterated that the Force is committed to leave no stone unturned in ensuring the maintenance of law and order in the State.
While delivering the welcome speech, Abhay Vir Chauhan, IGP, CRPF, Jammu Sector also urged the Force personnel to continue their good work and start preparation for the upcoming Shri Amarnanth Ji Yatra. Among those who were presented Commen dation Disc and letters were Surender Kumar Commandant, DP Bhardwaj Second-in-Command, Yashpal Thapa Second-in-Command, Rana Bharat Kumar Asstt Comdt, Sandeep Gautam Asstt Comdt, Rajesh Kumar Asstt Comdt, NN Singh Asstt Comdt, Mukesh Kumar Asstt Comdt, A Visapuni Asstt Comdt, Insp/GD Hoshiyar Ram, Insp/GD Bhuwn eshar Ram, Insp/GD Rakesh Kumar Singh, Insp/GD Narinder Singh, ASI/GD Dharam Singh, ASI/GD Satpal Singh, ASI/GD Raghuth Ram, ASI/GD Rajesh Sharma, HC/GD Rekal Singh, HC/GD V Chandran, Ct/GD Bunty Kumar, Ct/GD Pawan Kumar and Ct/Dvr Krishan Kumar. Besides above, those who were awarded DG's Commendation letters were Ashish Kumar Jha Commandant, Dr RT Kotwal Special Surgeon, SI/GD Daya Kant Singh, ASI/GD Gurdeep Singh, HC/GD Krishan Chander, HC/GD Lila Kumar Deori, HC/GD Satya Bhan Singh Tomar and Ct/Cook Nandu Singh Rajpoot.
The event was organized by Group Centre CRPF Hiranagar at Nagrota under overall supervision of M.C. Panwar, DIGP, CRPF. Others who were present during the occasion at Nagrota were Pawan Shar ma, DIGP, CRPF, J&K Zone Hqr, S.L.C. Khup, DIGP, CRPF Hira nagar Range, Nitu, DIGP, CRPF Jammu Range and M.P. Bahuguna, DIGP, CRPF Jammu Sector Hqr, other officers and personnel of the Force and media personnel.
