PHE workers hold massive protest demonstration

Jammu, Apr 16: All PHE ITI Trained and Cp Worker Association held massive protest a: Jammu. Daily wagers gathered at Chief Engineer's office B.C Road Jammu and chanted slogans for the demand of their regularization. The Protest was led by the Tanveer Hussain Presi dent All PHE ITI Trained and Cp Worker Associa tion, Jammu Province. The others who accompanied Tanveer were Deepak Gupta (V. President), Subash Chander (Gen Sect), and Sanjeev Thakur (Provincial Office Secretary). Thousands of daily wagers from all over Jammu province were present in the protest who was demanding for their regularization.
Addressing the gathering Mr. Tanveer said that they are fighting for the genuine demands of the workers those who have served the department since last many years. He said that government has not paid heed to their long pending demand of regularization and pending wages of all. He said that government every time just gives fake assurances which never come true and plays with the future and families of the 65000 casual labors, need basis, ITI trained, land case, daily wagers and other employees.
He demanded that all pending wages of all kinds of need basis, daily wagers, ITI trained, casual labors, land donors should be released immediately under proper wages heads. He warned government if soon their demands are not met they will be left to no option than to shut down water supply and government will be responsible for all this.
Deepak Gupta said that the pending and left out cases should also be included in the regularization process as they had given most of their life for the department. He said that government needs to initiate the process of regularization as promised.
Various workers from every district, sub division, section were part of this protest few of those were: Manjeet Singh, Bhanu Partap, Hoshiar Singh, Vijay Kumar, Sohan Choudhary Rajesh Sharma, Altaf Hussain, Pardeep Sharma, Jeevan Singh, Maqbool Hussain, Zulfiqar Akhmed, Rafiq Dar, Biswa Mitter Tilak Raj, Dhani Ram, Subash Chnder, Pawan Kumar, Ravi Kumar, Dev Raj, Shakeel Akhmed, Shameem Ahmed, Mohd khan, Bhag Hussain, Romesh Chander, Jeet Raj, Sandeep Kumar, Ashok Kumar, Surjeet Kumar, Kashmir Singh, Kasturi Lal, Bal krishan, Yash Pal Singh, Tarsem Singh, Sham Singh, Baldev Singh and Latief (Gandoh).
