JKPDD casual employees hold protest demonstration

JAMMU, Apr 16: A massive protest demonstration under the Banner the Banner of J&K PDD, Need base Casual Labourer Union was held in Jammu in front of office of Power Commissioner, PDD Janipur Jammu today that 16th April, 2018.
Hundreds of casual labours of Power Development Department assembled outside the office of the Power Commissioner and raised slogans in support of their demands urging the higher authorities of PDD Departments to release their pending wages so that they can save their families from starvation as they have no other source of income.
While address the protesting workers Mr. Mohammed Gafoor Dar State President JKNTUF stressed upon the authorities of PDD Department to release the pending wages of need base casual labourers without any further delay, otherwise agitation, will be intensified and the responsibility will be not of need base workers.
Addressing the protesting workers Mr. Akhil Sharma, President, PDD Casual Labours Union and Vice President JKNTUF demanded immediate payment of wages otherwise will be forced to adopt agitation path others who addressed were:
Demands: Immediate release of pending wages of 3405 and need base casual labours of PDD Department who are suffering badly due to non-payment and provision of budget for wages in the current year. Process of implementation of SRO 520 be started immediately as per the communication of Finance Department.
