SGEJAC demands implementation of 7th pay commission recommendation

Jammu, Apr 17: A meeting of state level executive body of the SGEJEC was held to review the progress made by the state govt. consequent upon the announcement in the budget speech by former Finance Minister as regards implementation of 7th Pay Commission Report w.e.f 1/4/2018, in favour of sate govt., PSUS autonomous bodies and pensioners. Besides regularization of daily wagers, contractual and adhoc workers.
The Meeting noted with concern that till date no SRO orders have yet been issued in this regard. Addressing the media persons the Joint Presidium of Sr. Leaders Susheel Sudan, Suresh Sharma and Subhash Verma, they expressed doubts about the fulfillment of this demand.
They expressed their apprehension about non implementation of Pay commission report on PSU employees and removal of anomalies of all coders while issuing formal orders with regard to pay commission report. Leaving a small no. of employees of PSUS and non removal of anomalies will be a great injustice and heart burn to this section of the employees.
The leaders asserted that PSUs employees are similarly and equally governed by the same price index and sky rocketing prices of the essential commodities.
These employees were simultaneously considered by the govt. at the time of implementation of six pay commission report, and should not be left now.
The leaders appealed all trade unionist to remain united in order to exert pressure on the govt. and be aware of sabotaging factors by the vested interest of the sincere efforts of the govt.
They hoped that orders on 7th pay commission shall be issued within this week as per commitment made by the govt. so that employees can draw revise salaries of April 2018. K.C. Dubey, B.N. Singh, Vijay Gupta, Manjoor Ahmed, Rinku Gill, Jarnail Khokar, Maheshwar Sharma, Mr. Ram Labhaya, Naresh Sharma, Ravi Kumar, Rajeshwar Sigh and Sham Lal were present in the press conference.
