BJP holds review meeting in relation with “Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan”

JAMMU, Apr 17: BJP will not let vested interests to succeed with their agenda of vitiating the atmosphere of land, this was stated by BJP National Vice-President & Prabhari for the state of Jammu & Kashmir Avinash Rai Khanna, while he was attending a meeting to review the progress of ongoing programmes in connection with the celebration of "Gram Swaraj Abhiyaan" from 14th of April to 5th of May at party headquarter, Trikuta Nagar.
Programmes include the holding of the events in connection with Ambedkar Jayanti, Swacch Bharat Parv, Ujjawala Panchayat, Panchayati Raj Diwas, Gram Shakti Abhiyaan, Aayushmaan Bharat Abhiyaan, Kissan Kalyan Karyashala and Aajivika evum Kaushal Vikas Mela. Meeting was addressed and chaired by Avinash Rai Khanna along with State President & MLA Sat Sharma, Dy. CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, MP Lok Sabha Jugal Kishore Sharma, MP Rajya Sabha Shamsher Singh Manhas, Speaker J&K Legislative Assembly Kavinder Gupta and State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, which was attended by all BJP State Office Bearers, Ministers, MLAs MLCs, Chairpersons and Vice-Chairpersons of Boards and Corporations.
Avinash Rai Khanna, while addressing the meeting said that this particular chain of programmes has been formulated for ensuring the reach of all public oriented schemes to the targeted population. He said that these schemes will be a step for the confidence building between the party, government and the common masses. He emphasized that the party activists and the leaders must take these schemes themselves to the public.
Khanna also made comments on the recent battery of events in the Jammu region. He said that the land of Jammu always remained an example of peace and brotherhood and withstood the strongest tests of time. He said that there are surely certain vested interests and elements who are hellbent to destroy and vitiate the peaceful atmosphere
in the region. He prompted all the party leaders
to contribute extra hours for reverting back the
situation for the greater good of the region.
Sat Sharma in his address focused on the importance of reaching up to every village and Panchayat level. He said that there should a concentrated effort for addressing the issues of the villages. He said that while the maximum of the constituencies have villages which are to be covered under the schemes initiated by the centre for the upliftment of the status of lives in the remote areas, the under covered areas of cities must be identifies to be covered under the programme.
Dr. Nirmal Singh in his address, claimed that the Prime Minister Narendra Modi has transformed the programmes from mere a formality to the successful movements. He said that under the present dispensations, the schemes have materialized on the ground.
He also said that these schemes go in accordance with the "Antodaya" of BJP as they ensure that the benefit reaches up to the targeted population.
