Ghanshyam Tiwari takes dig at Parnami

19/04/2018

Jaipur, Apr 18: Ghanshyam Tiwari, a rebel BJP leader and president of the Deendayal Vahini, claimed today that the change in the state BJP leadership would not "cover up the sins" of Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje, and asserted that the party's defeat in the coming assembly election was "imminent". Ashok Parnami resigned as the state BJP chief and was made a member of its national executive today.
The development comes ahead of the assembly election in Rajasthan later this year and is being seen as a fallout of the party's defeat in the January 29 bypolls to the Alwar and Ajmer Lok Sabha seats and Mandalgarh assembly constituency.
Confirming that he has submitted his resignation, Parnami said, "I have worked for strengthening the party as thestate party president. I will continue to work on the responsibilities given to me as a disciplined party worker."
Asked if his resignation was a fallout of the BJP's defeat in the recent bypolls, Parnami said that any defeat or victory was a collective responsibility and individuals were not responsible. Reacting to the development, Tiwari claimed that such changes would not reduce the burden of sins committed by the chief minister.
He said that the people of the state have made up their mind to throw the BJP out of power. They can try as hard as they can and do political manipulation. The defeat is imminent in Rajasthan, he said.
