Sanju teaser: Ranbir Kapoor as Sanjay Dutt promises to make you smile and cry along

‘Sanu’ is the most awaited biopic of the year. Rajkumar Hirani has collaborated with Ranbir Kapoor for the first and the first teaser has only raised our expectation from the film further.
The pictures from the sets of Dutt biopic which leaked online had already proved Kapoor's commitment for the part and his striking resemblance to Dutt in various phases in his life is just awsome in every frame of the teaser! Ranbir Kapoor fans are in for a treat as this is going to be one delightful watch which will make you smile and cry along.
The 1.25 minutes 'Sanju' teaser starts from the scene when Sanjay Dutt got released from Tihar jail. Ranbir has not just his looks right for the actor in his 50s but also mouths his dialogues exactly the way Sanjay Dutt would have done it himself. Then onwards the Sanju teaser gives a sneak peak into all the battles Sanju has fought in his life.
From a young Sanju who battled drug addiction to fitness freak who gave gym goals to his fans and how his life has been full of irony all these years. While the poster just showcased five avatars of Ranbir as Dutt, the teaser shows multiple shades of Ranbir in the role of Sanjay Dutt. No surprises there that the teaser only focusses on it's lead actor as he seems to be playing 'one man many lives' in one film itself. Although the film boasts of stellar ensemble cast including Anushka Sharma and Sonam Kapoor, Sanju teaser is all about how Ranbir Kapoor camouflages for the part.
The tag line of the film says 'a true story you won't believe'. Sanju looks like a typical Rajkumar Hirani film as the master storyteller narrates controversial life and times of the superstar in a light hearted manner. The teaser has S-U-P-E-R-H-I-T written all over.
In an interview to DNA After Hrs earlier, Rajkumar Hirani told us why he opted for Ranbir Kapoor. He said, "The first reason for choosing him is that he’s a fantastic actor. And the second reason is that he is at the perfect age. I needed an actor who could be 21 (years old) because that is where the film begins. That was the age when Sanju was shooting for Rocky and his drug phase started. And then we have Sanju when he came out of prison (around 56 years). So, we needed someone who could fit that transformation."
Written and directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the film will also stars Dia Mirza, Karishma Tanna, Manisha Koirala, Jim Sarbh, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani in pivotal roles.
Produced by Vinod Chopra Films and Rajkumar Hirani Films in association with Fox star studios. Dutt Biopic is all set to be released on 29th June 2018.
