Dir Agri inspects progress on farmers welfare programmes under NAFCC

Jammu, Jun 22: While stressing on the need to review the earlier decision of the State Govt. granting one time reliefregarding disbursement of 7th pay commission arrears in one go, to the age group of 80 years and above, President of the National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) Subash Shastri today appealed to the State Governor N.N.Vohra to extend the same facilities to all pensioners irrespective of any specified age group.
"Since the state pensioners in majority have no source of income other than pension to pull on their day to day life, the extension of this relief to the pensioners would be a welcome step." Shastri said this while addressing a well attended NMC workers meet here.
Appreciating the effort of present dispensation headed by N.N. Vohra, the Governor of J&K state ,has shown sympathetic and considerate view toward the sixty one thousand daily rated workers by prioritizing the issue relating to the SRO 520 and this working class of state has pinned high hopes that the present regime will settle this issue once for all providing great relief to them .Shastri hoped that redressal of pay anomalies of clerical staff will also attract the attention of the Govt. who are struggling since long.
Recalling the previous short stint of Governor rule headed by N.N. Vohra historical decision were taken which include regularization of services of left over 3660 daily rated workers under SRO-64 and release of G.P. Fund in one go, beside toning up, the state administration are work mentioning.
