Army schools of Tiger Division conduct summer camps

Jammu, June 22: Truly believing in the motto 'Children are the Future of the Country', the Army Schools of Tiger Division utilised the summer break of the school to conduct various summer camps.
With the intention to kindle a spirit of learning and enrichment amongst students as well as facilitators, various enrichment programmes were structured into the event providing opportunities to acquire knowledge, experience, skill and a sound attitude to ensure harmonious development of physical, moral and social faculties.
Among the mosaic of activities were workshops on Life and Social skills and addressing Parental Aspirations for the teachers. For the students, it was a kitty full of events ranging from Capacity Building classes and coaching for NDA Entrance Exam for the class XI and XII students, exposure to performing arts through various art & craft workshops, workshops to hone skills in Photography, Cutlery etiquettes and Abacus & Vedic maths. Providing a refreshing break were the outstation visits to Science city at Kapurthala, Water Sports at Pong Dam and Mc Leodgang, Adventure Camps for Scouts & Guides at Gadpuri and Adventure Moun-taineering course at the Nehru Institute of Mountai-neering, Uttarkashi.
The summer camp instilled lifelong values of team work and individual responsibilities in daily tasks in a healthy environment and built the student's character. The Tiger Division under the stewardship of GOC Tiger Division remains committed to the cause of building up the Children's future making them self reliant, self sufficient and staunch nationalists.
